HBO and The Trials of Ted Haggard

Point that nasty thing right back at yourself there, buster…!

America’s most famous religious hypocrite has taken to the talk circuit and airwaves in a new HBO documentary by Alexandra Pelosi, daughter of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. Haven’t seen it yet but looking forward to Haggard’s apology to the gay community for trashing the people on this planet whom he thinks like but who refuse to add his frightening and bold hypocrisy to their lifestyles.

Not expecting such an apology too soon or in this documentary, but still, looking forward…. And yes, I am giving in to his publicity blitz by including him on this blog…. But the more visible hypocrisy is, the more indignant we should be about it… after all, Jesus never said a word about homosexuality but railed against hypocrites like this guy on nearly every page….

Poor Ted and his trials and struggles. Losing James Dobson as a friend must be a devastating experience, and having to look for common work is just terrible. Rather pity the poor soul that realizes its depth of emotion and impact, and takes its own life, rather than parading around before cameras justifying one’s hypocrisy. But I haven’t seen anything yet, or have I?

Sigh, where is the compassion here… With the person who is honest with her/himself and humanity, that’s where. Feel free to post any verse where Jesus spoke compassionately to the hypocrite. I’m open to persuasion on the topic.
